Pacific Biological Laboratories was owned and operated by marine biologist and pioneering ecologist Edward Flanders Robb Ricketts (1897-1948), the best friend and collaborator of writer John Steinbeck.

Our next free public tours for 2019 are 2/9, 3/9, 4/13, 5/11, 6/8, 7/13, 8/10, 9/14, 10/12, 11/9 (no tours in December). Tour times: 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm. Call 831-646-5640 to reserve your space by the Friday before the tours.
