Warm beer? Gross, right? Sounds preposterous! Well guess what?... Around the 1700's this was not an uncommon way to serve beer. Similar to mulled wine, this brew starts with a strong ale which is then heated up with butter, spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon, and baked apples. Brewmaster & Co-Owner, Brandon Padilla, was inspired by this recipe when he was reading about the history of beer. People once believed a cup of heated beer to be good for you, almost like a medicine- hey, I'll believe it! Served out of a ladle, this brew is the perfect drink for a chilly day as you cup it in your palms and start to warm up from the inside out.
