Welcome to Monterey Bay Food Tours! My name is Casey. I am a lover of great food, wine, and culture and am the proud owner and founder of Monterey Bay Food Tours. I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, but dreamed of moving to California since high school. When my husband was given the opportunity to move to Monterey for work in the summer of 2016, we jumped at the opportunity. I’d first visited the area 7 years prior to moving and immediately fell in love with the food and cultural diversity the California Central Coast has to offer. Having worked in industries as varied as medical research, education (I was a Spanish teacher), and hospitality, as well as spending time as a stay-at-home mom, I finally feel that I am fulfilling my dream of working for myself and doing what I love. We have always enjoyed cooking for and trying new foods with friends and family, but now I am excited to share this passion with you. I love traveling, exploring new places, hiking, running, biking, and trying new things. Since moving to the area, I’ve started running half marathons and the beauty of the area and weather keep me signing up for more!

FUN FACTS: 

Felipe grew up living and traveling all over the world, because of this he was exposed to foods from many different cultures. He also learned to speak several different languages.  

After high school, Felipe returned to the states and joined the Navy. That is how he first came to love Monterey, as a student at the Defense Language Institute. His time in Monterey was temporary and he was assigned to Augusta, GA, where he eventually met his wife, Casey. Eager to return to beautiful Monterey, Felipe accepted a job at the Presidio in 2016 and couldn't be happier.

Felipe has many hobbies; he is a wood worker, a brew master, a gardener, and has a love for great food and wine. He is a great husband and father to four sons, and now a food tour guide for his wife's company!

FUN FACTS: 

I grew up competing in freestyle BMX and try to approach life the same way I did riding!

Greg is from Cumberland, RI and grew up in a family that personified the “melting pot” that is New England. Each family holiday meant an eclectic mix of different foods and traditions, which fueled his interest in constantly trying new things. After high school, Greg enlisted in the USAF and set out to experience life outside of America’s smallest state. Having lived in Monterey for a little over 3 years, he is all about taking advantage of the unique things that Monterey has to offer. When not touring, you can find him playing with his dog, paddle boarding, or singing David Bowie at a local karaoke night.
