Clay Pot Pop-Up Dinner @ Live Earth Farm

Orion Langdon will be bringing his micaceous clay cookware from Northern New Mexico for a special show! Kin & Kitchen will craft a seasonal meal using clay cookware and serve us a feast on the farm followed by the pottery sale.

Orion makes hand coiled cooking vessels and cups from clay harvested in the wild, generous mountains of his current home. Orion’s work is one of many iterations of the ever evolving, centuries old tradition of pottery making in New Mexico. Micaceous clay cooking pots are beautiful, durable, hold heat well and can be used in the oven or directly on the stove-top. Orion will be showing his work, answering questions about this clay body and serving food cooked in micaceous pots.

Warming Soups @ Happy Girl Kitchen

Soup is a daily staple and popular item of the Happy Girl menu. Our customers return frequently to see what soup is on the menu. As we enter fall and winter, this workshop provides a nice way to add ideas to your repertoire and create nourishing, delicious soups at home.

Suzanne and Luis will share tips on how to streamline the soup making process and together we will make three different customer favorites.

While we work together in the kitchen, we will share various cooking and prepping techniques that will be handy for you to use at home.

As always, we will be using the freshest, local, seasonal ingredients available to create a simple, nourishing and delicious meal made from scratch that we will share at the end of the workshop. All participants will receive a packet of recipes from the evening. Please indicate any dietary restrictions when you sign up and we will accommodate when possible.

We anticipate that this workshop will fill up! So, sign up early and get your spot saved. The workshop will be held at Happy Girl Kitchen location from 5-8 pm at 173 Central Avenue, Pacific Grove 93950.

Mark Sultan w/ Shoobies @ Pierce Ranch Vineyards Tasting Room

$12 cover

It's a ways off, but mark your calendars now for early March when we welcome garage rock luminary Mark Sultan (aka BBQ) to the tasting room. Known not only for his impressive solo work, but also for being one half of The King Khan & BBQ Show, Sultan has been a respected figure in indie, garage, and punk spheres for years. Drawing from a range of influences that runs from doo-wop to the present day, Sultan delivers his well-crafted yet raucous songs with an energetic, no-nonsense abandon and a unique stage presence.

Santa Cruz surf/garage rockers Shoobies – serious customers in their own right – open the show. In short, this should be a great night.

Presale tickets are available at the tasting room or at (831) 372-8900. We fully expect this to sell out early, so, as they say, act now.
